Born in Piñon, Arizona, Virgil now resides in Many
Farms,near Chinle, on the Navajo Nation. He employs his
unique style of pointillism (Virgilism as he has coined it)
to present a vibrant vision of traditional Navajo culture
through landscapes, symbolism, Yei figures, spirituality,
and 'other-worldly' personal experiences.
'I am painting through the hands of my ancestors, and I must
paint slowly to have the spiritual connection with the
work.'
